How To Take Care of You Piercing With A Sea Salt Soak (Recommended)
1/4 tsp Non Iodized Sea Salt
8oz. Warm Distilled Water

Wash your hands. Soak your piercing with a paper towel soaked in the solution or by inverting a shot glass over the piercing. Soak for 5 minutes 2 times a day for the whole duration of healing. After soaking it, flush with fresh non salted water

How To Take Care of Your Piercing With Soap

WASH YOUR NEW PIERCING [WITH CLEAN HANDS] TWICE A DAY WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP. THE PROPER PROCEDURE FOR WASHING IS AS FOLLOWS: MAKE A SOLUTION OF SOAPY WATER AND ANTIBACTERIAL HAND SOAP IN A SMALL CONTAINER. APPLY THE SOAPY SOLUTION TO THE PIERCING WITH A COTTON SWAB. ALLOW THE SOLUTION TO SIT LONG ENOUGH TO SOFTEN ANY DRIED MATTER WHICH MAY HAVE ACCUMULATED ON THE RING. CLEAN ALL EXPOSED PARTS OF THE RING AND THE PIERCED SITE. ROTATE THE RING WHILE WASHING IT AS YOU NEED TO WASH THE INSIDE OF THE PIERCING AS WELL AS THE OUTSIDE. RINSE THOROUGHLY WITH FRESH WATER. AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED SOAP YOU COULD USE THE FOLLOWING; DR. BRONNERS CASTILE SOAP, BETADINE, PROVIDONE IODINE OR HIBICLENS FOR GOLD.

DO NOT…USE RUBBING ALCOHOL OR HYDROGEN PEROXIDE DO NOT……APPLY ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENTS TO YOUR PIERCING. DO NOT.... HANDLE YOUR PIERCING WITH UNWASHED HANDS. AVOID....... ORAL CONTACT. YOU MAY USE BACTINE, OR A COMPRESS WITH SALT WATER.

WELL MAINTAINED PIERCINGS CAN HEAL IN 5-6 WEEKS. IT IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR IT TO TAKE LONGER, PARTICULARLY IF THE PIERCING IS SUBJECT TO HEAVY ABUSE OR HAS BECOME CONTAMINATED DURING HEALING .
MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF YOUR PIERCING CLOSELY FOR SIGNS OF INFECTION. IF YOU SUSPECT THAT YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR PIERCING YOU SHOULD SEEK ADVICE FROM YOUR PIERCER OR YOUR PHYSICIAN. SIGNS OF INFECTION ARE PROLONGED SORENESS, SWELLING PAIN, EXCESSIVE REDNESS AND OR THICK DISCHARGE. REMOVING THE JEWELRY. MAYNOT END THE INFECTION AND MAY MAKE THINGS WORSE, PLEASE LEAVE THE JEWELRY IN UNTIL YOU GET ADVICE FROM A PIERCING PROFESSIONAL OR PHYSICIAN.
